A brief introduction to dense busbars

Dense busbars are a form of electrical power transmission using copper or aluminum bars. Do you know why dense busbars are needed? We use dense busbars because ordinary cables have insufficient current-carrying capacity. Flat cables are insufficient to meet the current-carrying capacity requirements, hence the use of dense busbars. With the advent of modern engineering facilities and equipment, electricity consumption in various industries has rapidly increased, especially with the emergence of numerous high-rise buildings and large factories. Traditional cables, as transmission conductors, cannot meet the requirements of high-current transmission systems. The parallel use of road cables brings many inconveniences to on-site installation and construction connections. Dense busbars, as a new type of power distribution line, have emerged as a solution.

High-Density Busbar

High-density busbars consist of a system composed of metal plates (steel or aluminum plates) as a protective shell, conductive bars, insulating materials, and related accessories. They can be manufactured in standard lengths and inserted into plug-in junction boxes at regular intervals, or they can be made as a feed-through enclosed busbar without intermediate junction boxes. This greatly facilitates power supply, installation, and maintenance. High-density busbars are three-phase four-wire or five-wire AC systems, suitable for frequenciesof 50~60Hz, rated current 100A~6300A, and rated voltage 690V or lower. They are especially suitable for low-voltage industrial workshops, mines, and power distribution and supply systems in high-rise commercial and residential buildings, hotels, and hospitals.

1. Foundations, structures, reserved holes, and embedded parts must meet the design requirements of electrical equipment.

2. After the completion of the roof and floor construction, there should be no leakage.

3. After the completion of the indoor ground construction, mark the ground leveling line on the well walls.

4. The high-density busbar foundation and structure have reached the allowable installation strength.

5. Modification work that may damage the installed high-density busbar trough has been completed.

6. Anti-theft measures should be taken at the locations where high-density busbars are installed.
