Protective measures for high-density busbars are as follows: ① Waterproof measures: When the busbar passes through floors, accumulated water on the floor due to production or roof leakage may leak down along the busbar, causing water ingress and reduced insulation. Therefore, high-density busbars need to be laid at an altitude of over 2000 meters, and sealing and waterproof barriers should be implemented where the busbar passes through floors to prevent water from seeping in.
Protective measures for high-density busbars are as follows:
① Waterproofing measures
When the busbar passes through floors, accumulated water on the floor due to production or roof leakage may leak down along the busbar, causing water ingress and reduced insulation. Therefore, high-density busbars need to be laid above 2000 meters above sea level, and sealing and waterproof barriers should be installed where the busbar passes through the floor to prevent floor water from seeping in.
Avoid installing busbars in areas where there may be a large amount of accumulated water or seepage, such as near bathrooms and restrooms. If unavoidable, take additional waterproof and moisture-proof measures, such as adding protective sleeves.
② Fire prevention measures
Select high-density busbars with the appropriate fire rating based on the different usage environments and fire requirements. For example, in places with high fire safety requirements, such as evacuation passages in high-rise buildings and crowded places such as shopping malls, busbars with good fire-resistant performance should be selected.
Avoid stacking flammable and explosive items around the busbar, and maintain a certain safety distance. At the same time, ensure that the installation of the busbar system complies with relevant fire safety regulations and standards.
③ Explosion-proof measures
Confirm whether there are explosive gases around the installation of the high-density busbar. If so, the busbar must be installed away from the explosive gas source, or a special explosion-proof busbar must be selected.
Ensure that the installation and connection of the busbar are firm and reliable to avoid sparks caused by looseness or poor contact, which may cause explosion hazards.
④ Anti-corrosion measures
Select busbar casings of suitable materials according to the corrosiveness of the environment, such as stainless steel casings or casings with special anti-corrosion treatment, to enhance the corrosion resistance of the busbar. For example, in highly corrosive environments such as the seaside, busbars with good anti-corrosion performance should be prioritized.
Regularly inspect the busbar casing and surface coating. If there is damage or signs of corrosion, repair or replace it in time to prevent further corrosion.
⑤ Dust prevention measures
Dust covers can be installed around the busbar or it can be installed in a sealed protective box to prevent dust from entering and reduce the risk of insulation degradation or failure due to dust accumulation.
⑥ Electromagnetic shielding measures
Install metal shielding around the busbar or wrap the busbar with shielding material to reduce the impact of electromagnetic interference. At the same time, follow good electromagnetic compatibility principles during design and installation to reduce electromagnetic radiation and ensure system stability and reliability.
⑦ Overload and short-circuit protection measures
Reserve sufficient space in the busbar design to ensure that it can withstand the rated current and short-term overload current. In addition, appropriate fuses, circuit breakers, or other protective devices should be equipped. When overload or short-circuit faults occur, the circuit can be cut off in time to avoid damage to the busbar.
